Rodrigo Oliveira began his musical career in September of 1994, with two friends from school. They put together a band called Carrascos and they recorded two demos and one CD. In March of 1996, Rodrigo was invited to play drums with the group Stronger, a death metal band from São Paulo, Brazil, and they played all over the country. But in March of 1997, because Rodrigo was taking his career more seriously than the other members of the band, he decided to leave.

In September, 1997 Rodrigo became the drummer of the band called Korzus and in 1998, at the age of 17, he played at the Philips Monsters of Rock Festival, one of the biggest and most important metal festivals in the world. After that they recorded a CD, "Live at Monsters of Rock", recorded by MTV Brazil. In the following years, with Korzus, Rodrigo had played across Brazil, north thru south, making always the best and greater Tour of a national metal band

In March, 2004, they released the CD called "Ties of Blood" (Unimar Music / Universal). It received excellent reviews and the maximum rating in all specialized magazines and websites, and it was considered the Best CD of the Year. After this release, Korzus was the cover of the most important music's magazines of Brazil.

With Korzus, Rodrigo played at every major festival in Brazil, among them: Porão do Rock (DF), Abril Pro Rock (RE), Sepulfest (SC), AVR Festival (SP), Chimera Festival (SP) and played on the same stage with great names of rock scene, including: Slayer, Slipknot, Manowar, Megadeth, Cradle Filth, Exodus, Sepultura, Dream Theater, Biohazard, SOD, and many others.

On October 24th, 2004, Rodrigo flew to England to join the British band Mercury Rain, on their European Tour, and they performed in several countries such as England, France and Spain with the bands Tristania, Trail of Tears and Therion.

In December of 2005, Korzus played as headliner in the biggest festival of Ecuador, "Quito Fest" in front of 15 thousand people. In August, 2006, Korzus released the DVD "Video História".

Rodrigo participated in several TV shows of the most important channels in Brazil and has been interviewed by all the music magazines, including Modern Drummer Brazil.

From 2003 to 2008, Rodrigo was one of the 3 best drummers of Brazil in public's choice, according to Rock Brigade and Roadie Crew, the most important music magazines of the country.

For the year 2009, Rodrigo is preparing his first video lesson, with the support of his sponsors: Ludwig Drums, Axis Pedals, Vic Firth Drumsticks, Stagg Cymbals, Power Click In Ear Monitor, Elixir Cables and  Speed Control Practice Pads.

Right now Rodrigo is in studio finalizing the new Korzus' CD and new Ancesttral’s CD, both with the release scheduled for second semester 2009.

Besides Korzus, Rodrigo is a producer and drumm- teacher. His project is to play, teach and help in every way the heavy metal scene.
